Carter D-10 with 8 pedals and 8 (eight) knee levers. Excellent condition...looks and plays beautifully. Not a thing wrong with this guitar. Black woodgrain mica. I have owned it about 10 years but haven't played it since 2007. Easy to change co-pedant....basically set up as Emmons. Case is carpet covered and solid. $2200 plus shipping in CONUS.

Can you tell me what kind of pickups are on the guitar?

As I tried to blow up the pictures to get a good look, it looks like there is a very light (cosmetic?) surface scratch on the end plate at about the 6th string position on the E9 neck. Is it a scratch or just the camera angle.

On the case, it looks like a smudge or fabric scratch in between the left two latches. Again, is that just the camera angle?

It looks like a really nice guitar, and is certainly priced well.

patrick...i wouldn't be nitpicking on a scratch and a smudge. this is a fantastic pro model guitar that has actually been played. selling at bottom dollar. good guitars get that way because they're so good people actually play them....on professional jobs. steels that stay perfect haven't been inspiring enough to get played alot, evidently.

Well, you missed your chance to buy it in 2013. So, why not make your New Years Resolution for 2014 to buy this guitar. It's looking for a good home!

Sorry - - I must have missed the answer. I would agree COMPLETELY that a cosmetic scratch only adds to the character, and a smudge is just confirmation that it has been played. My note was simply asking for confirmation that they were in fact cosmetic, to which I didn't see an answer.

Sometimes people will post a close up of cosmetic items, so that the buyer has complete knowledge prior to committing to buy. I'm that type of buyer - - I want to know that it is in fact cosmetic and not affecting functionality.

I wouldn't call that nitpicking - - just seeking clarification.

Take care.

there is planty of new guitars out there to buy, with no scratches, only thing you need is about $5,000.00 and you're set...

db

ps

actually, with 8 knee levers, would be more like, $6,000.00 ...but hey, no smudges or scratches, right?....

Well I tell you I'd buy it if I had the money. I like the color. Very elegant looking, scratch or no scratch. It looks like a Wallace true tone on the E9th neck. the back pickup looks different. Might be the original. I could be wrong. Tennessee Lee

I've had several questions about the pickups. I'm not sure what they are....no name that I can find. But here is a pic. Someone will probably recognize them. And if I understand the serial number system correctly, the guitar was built in 2000.

This is not a good photo, but I think you can see the tape measure. Distance from floor to LKV is about 25 3/4 inch. Distance to bottom of rear apron is about 27 3/4 inch.

Pickups look like George L TPPP. I think they were standard issue in many Carter guitars.

I am no stranger to supporting Carter Steels, I have owned 3 and my current primary axe is very similar to this one..

These are work horses and will never let you down.

This D10 at this price may very well be the best deal on the forum right now.

If I didn't already own a Carter 2004 Black D10 9+8 I would have bought this one already.

Still for sale. I'll leave a couple of licks in it for the new owner.
