No,she wasn't a great steel player or country singer, but she didn't mind sittin & watchin' me pick & she was the first one in the room @ rehearsals. Her name was Ginger. It's amazing how quiet this house is without her.I spent all night sittin' up with her.She was really sweet & will be missed.God Bless You,Ginger, you were a REALLY good girl.

Bob, I am sorry about your loss of Ginger. Having a dog is like having a child that grows up in your house and passes away as a teenager.
I have a four year old mixed German Shepard/lab named Ginger. She showed up at our house on labor day of 2009 and we kept her. She now is the boss of the house. Best thing is that I have lost 50 pounds since then from walking her two or three miles a day.
I have three dogs buried in my back yard. They all lived to be 17 years old and they all passed away a few years apart. I sure do miss them.

Bob,
Sorry to hear about Ginger, I've got one I'm about to lose myself. He's a Yorkie, 14 years old and I've had him since he was a baby. It's breakin my heart!

Bob, one of the biggest losses in my life was a 10 year old yellow lab. It's been about a year and a half and I'm still dealing with the loss. So I understand your feelings completely and sorry to hear that your little girl has passed on.

Bob,

My condolences to you on the loss of your beloved pet. As others have said, it's never, ever easy. I've lost several either to just old age or, shockingly, I've had one dog that was taken from me as a child and then had two dogs killed by someone feeding them glass! I don't understand how ANYONE can be so CRUEL to such caring animals!!

Bob, It's so sickeningly sad to see your "Best Friends" go ........I know, we've had it happen many times over the years.
We currently have four dogs at the moment, the male is a cross, his wife is a purebred and we have the "runt" of one of their families.
Our daughter didn't think we had enough doggie family, so she bought us another to add to the family. Rolling Eyes
They are all extremely loveable and cuddlesome.

Take care friend.

All Z.B.est.
Bob Mainwaring.

My condolences, what a wonderful part of creation are our loyal canine friends. Karla Bonoff wrote and sang it best regarding the loss of these precious friends when she lost hers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjespGPhoMw

Along with everyone else, my deepest condolences as well. I've lost two furry friends this year, both well over 17 years. They were well spoiled during their lives, as well as being "boss of the house". I know they've moved on to better things.
