Hi guys. Just a simple question: If I'm running a Fender amp with an extension speaker, does it strain or hurt the amp to unplug the ext. speaker with the amp on?

thanks
dave

I would at least put the amp on standby first

the load of a tube amp is the most sensitive part because it couples directly to the plates of the output tubes. You do not want to do anything except be very careful with that part of your tube amplifier because there are high value parts connected to the output load.

If it's a tube amp, the answer is "no".
