There is another thread about this amp here with the CEO of Quilter Labs- Chris Parks- answering questions. |

I posted this in the wrong place, so I'm bringing my question over here, too.
"OK, the dummy has another question. I know about Class "A" amps---and the jury's still out on whether there's such a thing as a Class "A" amp.. And I know about class B, and class A+B. But I have searched the web, and I can't find anything about Class "D" that I can understand. Could one of you tech gurus explain, in more or less layman's terms, what Class "D" amplification actually IS? What would it look like on a scope?
Thanks!" |

I have been beta testing the new Quilter SteelAire amp for several
months now and love the amp. It is lighter than a Nashville 112 with
more power. I love the looks also. Pat said I could post some photos
so here they are.

Why is their no delay on this amp?after all it is one of the most important steel guitar effects, most every steel players uses delay or reverb or a combonation of both, all though this sounds like an impressive unit, and meaning no disrespect to Quilter Labs,it seems to me they have possibly over looked
a very important feture, what do you think? |

I agree Steven.....leave out the Tremelo, and add a delay...it doesn't have to be an elaborate one, just the basic circut.....I think a simple delay would help them sell a lot more amps. If it had that feature most players wouldn't have to bring anything except their tuner. The reverb looks interesting though, with the dwell control. Glad to see that it is a real 200 watts of power also. _________________ Carter D10 8/5, Hilton VP, BJS Bar, Sonic Research Strobe Tuner, Elite' Powered Speakers, Fender Telecaster, Traynor YCV40 Tube Amp |

What is meant by "real 200 watts of power"? |

If it's meant as a pedal steel amp, then I would also vote for delay instead of tremolo.
Ideally, with repeats and level(mix) control on the amp and tap tempo on the footswitch. |

I love the tremolo on this amp! Well truthfully, it's because I'd also want to play guitar through it, but it's just a great sounding tremolo! I personally think it's one of the many features that sets the amp apart. |
