Looking great. Thomas case styling which is my favortie. Maybe the split design is the answer over switching to a single neck or lighter guitar?

Hugh, those examples look great to me. Like Jack, I also like the traditional Thomas style and I think going with the split design makes a lot of sense (at my age anyway).

Nice work Hugh. Looks like the leg/pedalbar case might work for a lap steel, too.

Hugh,
I met you in Kinnapolis NC at our last convention. At that time I did get to look over your cases and found them to be great quality workmanship. I am looking a set of split cases for an Emmons Legrande Short Key Head D-10 PSG. Please email me the pricing, and any new updated pictures that you might have of them.

I might add that in the past the big issue I found with most case builders was oversight of leaving the staple heads sticking out too much after inserting them, and this leads to scaring the metal surfaces of the end-plates and other chrome areas that are outer perimeters of the PSG. Look forward to hearing back from you.

Hey guys, I asked Hugh to build a case for me for my Super Pro. This is a heavy guitar. Hugh spent a lot of time to build a case that would last. He made several trips for measurements and fittings and I am overpleased. I talked to Hugh today and asked him to build a case for my Cherokee. Over the years I have worn out three cases for this guitar. I'm sure this will be the last one. You put a lot of money in your guitars, why not put it in the case it deserves. These cases not only look great, but they can take the punishment so your guitar won't have to.

Thank you guys for the encouraging words. It is great to hear from all my musical heros. Clyde is a inspiration to us all. Billy is a good friend who helped me with taps while learning a few licks. Jack has always been there to answer any questions I had while trying to understand the workings of the guitar. Bryan has allowed me to build a ShoBud case for him and today an order for a Cherokee guitar case. Thank you Bryan for your confidence in me to build your cases. All you guys are super pickers and I thank you for your comments and input. Last but not least I want to thank Tommy for his order tonight for a D-10 P/P. Thank you all. Keep on pickin' guys.

I built my own split Steel Guitar Case about 6 months ago and it is the way to go if you want to lift lighter. I put the SD 10 head in one case and I put my pedal bar, rods and volumn peadel in the other smaller one. It worked out for me.I have the Steel Guitar that Jack Palmer and Ray Walker from Walker Seats and Road Cases built and I love this Steel Guitar.Sounds better than the 2004 Emmons LaGrande III that I had.

I'm expecting a new case to arrive any day, sized for just the body of my Mullen D-12.

But I'll still use my current ratty but serviceable full size case to hold not only the steel guitar hardware, but other things I generally bring to all gigs: folding music stand; dual folding speaker stands; mic and cord; power reel, etc. I hope to eliminate the big suitcase that used to haul all that miscellaneous claptrap.

Nice work Hugh! Thomas styling and I see you've added the supports on the side as they should have so the guitar doesn't have to lay on it's keyhead and body. Like the splits for sure Cool

At this time I have not put wheels on my cases. I am sure that it can be done and I do have an idea as to how I would build a case with wheels. I have not had an order asking for wheels. It is a great idea.
