Sorry about the late notice, but we can play music tonight, August 27 at 7 PM. I forgot to post the notice earlier hopefully we will still get some people. Here is a quick photo of our last get together, Doug showed up to play some really great licks, and it was a great Jam as always.

Bob, is there a chance these events could also be a learning and sharing situation for guys like myself? I've always wanted to put a straw into the ears of my friends, Harley, Larry and Doug, to have them take the time to show me certain licks and phrasing. It would be grand. The regular jams every 6 mo. or so can't really offer this, as things must be kept moving along, and usually rapidly and non-stop.

Replies anyone?

Thanks!
Dennis

We did have a great Jam last night even with the short notice. Was good to see Dale again for a while, hope everyone gets out again next time. Dennis come on out any Monday or Tuesday. We usually just practice on Mondays, and have the band about every 2 weeks. Anyone is welcome any Monday or Tuesday just give me a call and I well let you know what is planned.

Hope to see everyone at the next Jam.

We went out to the Goble Tavern tonight see our friends "Ruby Falls" play live and in person. Doug Jones, and Larry Behm also joined the band and played to a sellout crowd. Here are a couple photos:

Doug on steel, Larry on fiddle, Shannon on bass, Josh on lead, Storm on rhythm, Donny on guitar.

Here's the band with me on steel, Alicia on fiddle, Doug Jones playing Bass.

We had a lot of fun it was a great experience for all.

Here are a few photos from our last couple of jams. We have had a great time playing, a few new guests, and a few new songs. I have most of the playlist for the big Portland jam set up in the computer now so we are working on those songs also. Sadly Kathy fell on the stairs and broke her leg, it will take some time for that to heal. We should be ready for another jam night on Tuesday, October 1 hope everyone can make it out to practice again.

Again many thanks to all of the players who continue to come out and help to keep this jam running. Hope to see everyone again soon.

You all look like you're having a ball. Just saw the YouTube vids as well -- some nice playing!

Our family just relocated from Kansas to Corvallis this summer. Do you all know of any steel players around the Corvallis area?

Eric, I am not personally familiar with any players in your area but if you come to the Portland jam in December you will meet a lot of players from all over the state. Hope to see you then.

Hey Bob

Scott Hay and I are thinking about coming out on Tuesday if you are doing it. Time to bone up for the jamboree. Also, I have heard you work on Sho-Buds, so I am planning on bringing mine to see if you can help it. I can leave it with you, if so.

Thanks,
Mitch

Tuesday nights jam the great success, we had I think about nine players and four singers which made for a very musical evening. We had Ruby falls for the band along with Harley, Scott, Mitch, and Gene playing steel. I believe everyone had a great evening, I know I enjoyed it very much. Kathy took a few photos to show everyone in action.

Here's Josh with his new leather bound guitar

Looks like Harley parked his truck on stage.

No dancing girls, Bob took down the poles to make room for all of the gear.

Oh, Whew!!
Larry had me concerned there for a minute.
I'm so glad you didn't say goodbye to Tiffany and Candie.

They can always have a seat at one of your Sho-Buds...when they're on break of course. Winking
