............amazing little 6 string lap steel tuned C6th (E-C-A-G-E-C) playing a pedal styling. The req't technique to play this way is to avoid the Sixth sound ie no strums for instance.
I use mostly palm blocking but you also have to incorporate a litte finger/thumb blocking.
A real challenge but the results are very satisfying when mastered.
One of my students who I have been teaching this way is doing amazingly well and it is a pleasure for me to chord along when he plays his lessons. It is easy to teach and ClicTab lends itself very well. A minimum of symbols and slants( but they are difficult ones)
Please check out my ClicTab Site and let me know if I can help. Here's the link to "Pedal Your Own"..

Good song, Roy. So its the bar hammer technique along with the palm mute that gets this done. Those slants are very clean. |

Hi Don,
Yes, there are a few bars in the tune that feature hammerons but for the most part they are not req'd to play like this.
The right and left hand basics are very important.
There lies the key.
I have a YouTube Channel which demos my technique and you can get to it by Googling:
steelinroy channel
Two clips to note there:
Right hand palm blocking and
The Right and Left hand playing the
scale on a Little Rick
Thanks for listening and good luck Don
