Hi, just kidding. I did find this LP today at the Goodwill. This lp was sponsored by Vox and all insterments are Vox except the D8 Stringmaster. It dosen't say they use them on the Lp. It has Fred Carter, Kelso Herston, Pete Wade, Billy Linneman, Harold Weakley, Vic Wills, Tommy Hill and the Ray King Singers and Roy.

In 1964 Vox had a shop in Buckhead in Atlanta. They had all of there guitars and amps on display. They sponsored a battle of the bands and the winner got to play at Atl statium before the Beatles. The winning band was The Atlanta Vibrations. My fingers would fall off before I could type all about the summer of 64.

I like the way they subtly hid the Fender logo with the bass cabinet.

There does seem to be a weird Vox/country connection though.

Here's Jimmy Bryant with his Voxmobile...

Yes he was, I wonder what Fender thought about it?

The car was actually built by Vox in 1968 for promotional purposes and Jimmy bought it privately.

The pictures aren't Vox promotional shots but taken for a car magazine or something after Jimmy bought it.

It is a serious car that could do 172mph and also had Vox amps built into it that could power up to 32 guitars and a vox organ was mounted in the back.

Ya the AC30 is the living end. Worth looking into. GREAT amp and super versatile. That said I am happy with my Fender but won't rule out also getting a VOX at some point for it's versatility and unique voice.
