I had an all day jam session at my house last Saturday with Gary Gimble and Sid Hudson. Sid forgot the power cord to his foot volume pedal. I had a Emmons pedal but it would not attach, so we came up with a solution. It worked so well that we are in the process of developing it for the steel guitar market. Sid is in charge of research and development and I'm in charge of taking advance orders. Don't be the last to get this new technology. The cost will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $500.

Just to be on the safe side, you might want to check with the patent office. I'd hate to see you ramp up production only to have an infringement suit pop up. |

Chuck,
I see an I.P.O. in the not so distant future, say, 3rd QT 2013. I hope you can keep up with advanced orders during Sid's completion of said R.A.D.. Meanwhile, tonight's fortune cookie message reads something about the S & P adding a new gem, call letters MSPH....(make shift pedal holder) _________________ Assorted gear and a set of hands...

Roger,
The janitor down at the patent office assures me that it's original and he applied for a patent for me. I only had to pay him $1,000. I thought I got a pretty good deal.
Hook,
No, blue is the only color it will come in. In order to use it, you will have to buy a blue Guitar. If blue is good enough for Sid Hudson, it should be good enough for You. _________________ Red Zum, Telonics Amp, and a Lexicon MK200 Effects. |

What kind of power supply does this attachment use? Is it solid state? I prefer tube pedal mounts. How much for the anodized model? |

Chuck, I’m sure you have licensing agreement terms and conditions all worked out. You see, we had been developing an $800 bracket using different technology. Well, I can say that your inovative development work has certainly put a clamp on that!
At any rate, the moment I advised corporate of your intuitive solution for a universal pedal attachment device, they instructed me to contact you immediately and ask if you might put us in cue for consideration as a licensee with non-exclusive manufacturing rights for production of the device in various colors, AND now that these posts have made us aware of the demand for black, we would like to apply for EXCLUSIVE right to produce all black brackets. (One of our engineers wanted to see them produced in bubble gum color, but he's a software engineer, so what can you expect)? Of course, we would expect to pay a per-unit premium royalty consideration for the rights to black.
Have you considered licensing devices for pedal, and non-pedal guitars separately?
Think about it! There’s no telling how far this could take you.
Your consideration with regard to this pressing matter would be most appreciated.
I know how busy you are, your time is sincerely appreciated.

Dave you probably would want to add a Blue light to the clamp as well -- just a thought mate _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9

Sid and Chuck,
The more we look into this, it's looking like it's going to take a three-way split for the carrying cases; one for the guitar, one for the pedal board, legs and rods, and one for the clamp assembly.
Have you had time to work on the carrying case aspect?
Of course, these concerns only apply for portable guitar situations. If it is to be used with stationary guitars, it could be permanently affixed to the floor with lag screws (or anchor bolts for concrete). That would, of course, prevent marring the guitar - which is always a plus.
Just a thought.....

Update, there will be a new super stereo model available soon, made of the space age new ultra-light material called "Unobtainium" ... but you need to get your orders in early for this extremely rare material. _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9

I have to admit That has to be the ugliest Pedal bracket I have ever seen. Further more I will not use a pedal bar as I do not want to mare up my pedal bar.I rather use no pedal bracket.

Now hold on Sam!
We are not finished with the final design at present. The Blue volume pedal attachment device was just a prototype.
Chuck and I have come along way in the last couple of months in the R&D department.
This is our most current design. The bad news?
The price is going to be around $695.00 which does not include the required air compressor.

Hold on Dickie! Air compressor on stage?
We have already figured that one out.
It's going to to come with a 200 ft air hose and 200 ft extension chord at no extra cost.
Color of air hose is customers choice. Yellow,Red Blue,Green or fuschia.
The extension chord only comes in bright yellow.
You put the air compressor outside the joint you are playing and run the air hose out the back door to the compressor.
Then you plug the air compressor into the extension cord and run the extension cord back in the joint to your power strip mounted in your seat and plug in it.
When you take a break and flip your power strip off it also cuts the compressor off.

Sid, think about that man, that means it'll be in the parking lot! So will that include lockable anchor bolts so I won't get ripped off? Will the hose be armored so knife work won't be a concern?
I just need a close to fool-proof system as I can get, even if it costs extra. |
