******79/80 Emmons P/P 8/7******
Complete rebuild by Albert Johnson of Florida. Emmons set up.
$4000 Plus shipping in CONUS
I fully understand we are in an economic whirlwind and this guitar is not for everybody. However as you all know we are looking at a steel no longer in production. They are still out there in various states...playable or not; so this should be a consideration. Finally for all who may know me......this is not a hardship sale.

Hey Jack, I hope you are doing ok. I miss being in Florida and picking with all you folks.
For anyone who is not familiar with Albert Johnson's work, it is first class all the way. He is not only a great mechanic but also a picker. His p/p guitars play about as good as they ever get.

Nice guitar. Albert Johnson may not be the best push/pull mecanic....but there's nobody better.

I see the return springs for pedals A, B, &C are not installed. Do you have them? Or where can they be obtained if you don't have them.? I've read on the forum about some folks removing them to get lighter pedal action, but my P/P sn 1533 has them installed and I'm kind of used to that action. Larry Robertson

| I'm not quite sure what Larry means by return springs. If that means what I think, you can't remove those springs. If you do, once you lower a string, there's nothing to pull it back to the normal pitch. They're not that necessary on strings 3,5,6 and 10, if you don't lower them, but everybody lowers 4 and 8. | Return springs have not been removed.....all the parts where they belong....there is a modification on 1 2 3 pedals. To make an easier pull but nothing to do with springs. |

The assist springs on Pedals 1, 2 and 3 DO appear to be missing. I think Larry is referring to the 1.5" assist springs, where the pedal rod attaches to the crank lever against the front apron. The springs for pedals 4 through 8 are there.

| As you know return springs are different from the pedal springs...if you enlarge the pict you will see the mods on the first three pedals.....does not change the playability of the guitar but does make it a lot smoother. |

The reason I called them return springs is that with the pedal at rest those springs are relaxed. When the pedal is depressed those springs expand. When the pedal is released those springs help return that bell crank back to the relaxed position. But, anyway the question was do you have them or are they obtainable? Thanx Larry
