Recently I was going to have the 705 pickups installed on my LeGrande III steel. The C6th neck worked with no problem. However, the E9th neck was different. Due to the counterforce the pickup would hit the strings. Have any of you guys installed different pickups on the Legrande III guitars and if so what do you recommend? The 705 pickup sure sounded really good but now I have two different pickups on my steel. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Emmons 108N sound really good, assuming you want to go with a hum bucker.

To this date, of many, many steels I've owned and played, the best sounding to my ears was a LeGrande III SD 10 with a 108 N.
