I am new to this and I am looking into buying a "Carter Starter or something comparible to get my "feet wet".
I need everything from guitar to finger/thumb picks, amp, volume pedal....the whole nine yards.
If you want to sell a guitar and/or other equipment that would complete this package, leave a message here but also please e-mail me as I don't get to the forum that often.
I will see the e-mail quicker!

I am not necessarily looking for "brand new" equipment but I don't want to get involved with beat up, ragged out stuff either since I am not familiar with repairs, etc. yet as well.

If you are in Georgia...that's a plus!

I am new to this forum too, so will probably bug you guys for help when I get started

Musician's Friend sells these new, but Billy Cooper's shop has a used unit that is like new.(billycoopersmusic.com.). They are great folks to deal with and will be quite helpful I am sure. For an amp, I would recommend a Peavey Nashville 112. These small amps are great for practice, and will perform well in most playing situations. Hope this has been helpful, and best of luck.

Thanks Again

There is a music store in Thomaston, GA, The Music Man is the name, that has a used Carter starter for sale. It was bought by a bass player who wanted to learn steel but gave up after 1 month.
Tel. 706-648-4486.

Hey Gene,
Look under Instruments for Sale on the Forum. My buddy, Skip Mertz from Fayetteville, NC, has a Carter Starter advertised for sale with volume pedal for $600.00. Also, you can reach Skip by phone at 1-910-630-6339. Skip is a good guy and will do what he can to help out another musician. Good Luck! Vann Cranford
