Thank you Gary, if you find any more of Curly please post them. IMO, there was no mistaking Curly's style. |

Wasn't she Miss Kitty on Gunsmoke, a popular US TV western series in the 60's. |

Arch, Amanda Blake was "Miss Kitty" on the TV Show "Gunsmoke", which I suppose may not have even been on the radar anywhere else. But here in the US, it still holds the record for longest-running prime-time TV show here (20 years, '55-75). For many (like me), it was part of Saturday night growing up. Anyway, she wasn't known for her singing. But she was the third person inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers, and I think she sounded OK here, and of course Curly really tore it up. |

Awwwwww.That's kind of sad, she was such a sweetheart. I have the whole box set of Gunsmoke DVDs, all 600+ episodes. Nice steel playing but poor Kitty should have stuck to acting. Now Ken Curtis, who played Festus on that series was a very good singer and even sang with the 'Sons of the Pioneers' at one point. Never saw him backed up on steel though. |

Curly looks like he was having fun on this lip-synch. The record credits Stu Basore with the cool steel guitar playing. |

In the second song, "Oh Lonesome Me" Curly was playing some similar licks near the end that he played on an album that Don Gibson recorded around the same time, on the same song. Those licks were great on both occasions. Curly didn't want to waste a good thing. Always go with a winner. |
