I also remember him using that Sho~Bud "Christmas Tree" amp in the picture in the previous post.

And Maverick Music had it for sale, a couple of year ago, for 10,000.00.

Would this be the same amp? If so, someone's asking 50K for it now… Shocked

Here he is setting up the ZB to play through a '68 Pro Reverb with extension cab.
Looks like an Edwards light-beam Volume Pedal on top of the amp.

Did Sho~Bud have the clutch on the rear legs up so high? I know ZB did.

Stupid question...I never got into the Dead Head scene man, so don't know, but was Jerry missing part of his middle finger on his right hand? And if so, how'd he lose it?

Richard, I was only joking (as per the laugh emoticon.) What I thought made it funny was that from the angle, you could not see any logo - hence, one could pass it off as any brand…
As for the clutches, you are right - it probably is a ZB as Sho-Buds were never that high.

In a Guitar Player interview, Jerry said his brother cut it off with an axe when Jerry was 4 years old.

If there's a pic of Jerry playing a Sho-Bud I want a poster!

Love a Jerry Garcia thread... he sparked my interest in pedal steel -other than the fact my uncle offered to let me borrow his.

I got a 1971 at the Fillmore but would love to get more New Riders or tips of shows he played with the Dead.
