Hello everyone. I am brand new to the Steel Guitar Forum and would like to welcome myself.

I have recently acquired a GFI S-10 Student Model and I am looking for lessons in the Northwest Ohio area. I am currently located in Toledo, Ohio.

Please feel free to let me know of anyone in the area.

Thanks!

Valley Music in Maumee had a teacher a couple of years ago by the name of Gary ???? He was an accomplished road player but drives truck and plays in a band out of Graytown (Oak Harbor area)

Other wise there are not any teachers just a few players and several owners of the instrument. The Players include myself/Rodney Parker & Liberty Beach Band, Dave Cubbedge/Locoweed & Wheatfield Bands, Rick Thomas/Haywire, the straight steel player in Polka Floyd, Andrew Ellis plays a mean bottle neck slide and a few other resophonic players that I know

Try YouTube tutorials by Mickey Adams aka slingpilot for some amazing quick tips and licks - Youtube search for pedal steel lessons and you will find a wealth of information

If I can help further - send me some correspondence.
