Newbie here--I was wondering if anyone here could give me info on some old Fender steel guitars--A friend of my moms has 3 Fenders that she wants to sell now that her husband has passed--I don't play the steel but thought I might buy one of hers and give it a try-
the oldest one-- I can't find a model number but the serial number is 00667
the second one although I can't find a model number has a serial number of 16066-it is a single neck. It looks like pictures I have seen of the MAVERICK

the third is a PRO II CUSTOM double neck 8 pedal serial number 15443
they all look good to me although I don't know much about them--they all have the original cases in great shape
any info would be greatly appreciated.
I took some pictures of the undercarriages and tops.
I can post some pictures if I can figure out how.
Thanks
clark

The first one is a Sho-Bud Maverick. The second is a Fender 400, probably about a 1958 model. The Sho-Bud Pro II Custom is most likely a late 1970s or early 80s model with the Super Pro style pot metal parts underneath.

That Pro II looks to be a real beauty, that won't last long around here...

Since you already have a photobucket account, just copy and paste the IMG code of each picture.

Thanks for the replies--this little old lady says they have been in her closet for over 10 years collecting dust---she said she would sell them all to me for $2000 dollars--I thought that was a fair price although I don't know what they are worth--I want to give her what they are worth even if it is more than she wants--I only wanted the Pro II but she wants to sell them as a package--I hope all the parts are there if I buy them-- Smile

I was going to buy these 3 guitars and sell all but the double neck---I have had to help my daughter that recently got into financial trouble so I can't buy them.--anyone here interested in buying these from this little old lady? she wants 2000 dollars for all three---I told her it might be hard to sell all 3 at once and am trying to get her to sell them separately. If anyone is interested in buying all 3 please let me know..if she decides to sell them separately I will post here with prices. I will do whatever I can to help her sell them--I can bring them to my house and try (I don't really know how)to set them up and take more pictures of them set up for you to see. I will help her get them shipped if any one is interested.
thanks all
Clark
