I have looked everywhere for aluminum channel to build a custom pedal bar. The Sho-Bud channel is 1/4" thick, with a 1" leg, and 2" back. NOBODY has this size.I can get it in 3/16" thickness but not 1/4". Does anyone know where the steel manufactures buy their aluminum stock from??? Also what grade do they use, 6061, 6063, or what??? I could sure use some help on this. Thanks, Martin.

Check McMaster-Carr:
http://www.mcmaster.com/

I found .25" x 2" x 2"

You may have to have a machinist mill off the extra 1" on the "leg" sides.

Rich, Mcmaster-Carr has a square tube (square inside also instead of rounded inside) It is a two inch square in 6061 mill finish aluminum, .188" (3/16) thick and you can buy a three foot section. You could get a machinest to split it for you.(part # 6546K243. Martin.
