Up for sale is a 1965 Tosca guitar made by Valco. Tosca was a line of accordions that may have been the house brand for a midwest-based instrument distributor, and the brand attempted to get into the student guitar market in with a few student-level Valco guitars. This is the only dual-pickup Tosca I've ever seen, but like the others it has a short 22" scale and the same pickups used in Supro and National guitars.

The guitar is in excellent condition, with only a few small corner nicks (see photos). There is almost no fretwear, and aside from some slightly scratchy pots the electronics work perfectly - the pickups are loud and clear. Even the original chipboard case is clean. This has the chunkiest neck profile I've ever encountered on a Valco guitar, but the short scale makes it easy to play chords.

I'm asking $525 shipped for a straight sale, but I'd also consider trades for small oddball vintage tube amps such as Valcos, Magnatones, Premiers, or even Ampeg Jets and MusicMan 112s or 110s. I'm pretty picky about condition, but show me what you've got!

I can't believe this has not sold.
It would make a wonderful slide guitar.
