I'm rebuilding a lap body I picked up and have a Seymour Duncan little '59 for tele pup. Will this work ok? The number is ST59-1.

It depends what sound you are after. I tried one in a Tele and found it to be very midrange-heavy relative to what I want a Tele lead pickup to sound like. Since you already have it on hand it costs nothing to try it out.

If you want a hum-cancelling pickup with a vintage sound I like the Seymour Vintage stack Tele lead pickup.
