It finally arrived today

I initially ordered it from my local dealer back at the beginning of April.
Delivery dates kept getting pushed back and back until finally they admitted that they could not supply and that the Australian distributor had gone out of business.
So 5 weeks ago I ordered from a retailer in Germany who had stock and despatched it promptly but unfortunately with German post. It spent 3 weeks just clearing Australian Customs.

But it is beautiful and sounds magnificent even without using the levers The low D is much more defined when barred than on my shorter scale laps.
The ergonomics are quite different due to the long scale and the wide string spacing at the nut so I am feeling a bit clumsy with it a present, but that will pass.

.
Yes, they are a beautiful instrument aren't they.
The tone, to my ears is amazing with tons of sustain. Just a deep rich, warm tone. I love it.
The levers aren't as hard to get used to as some claim but it did take a bit to get comfortable with.
And yes, at times they are hard to get.
It took me almost 8 months for mine to arrive. I blame some of that on the dealer I chose to order it from
and I heard there was a pause in production for a short time.
Welcome to the club. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine..... Smile
