A while back the Jimmy Day copedent was suggested to me as a good starting point for a single neck C6. I've just completed my guitar and I'm starting to work my way through some beginning steps. I'm an experienced musician and have played C6 lap for 1 1/2 years.
So far I've wrapped my hea around pedal 5 G to F#, Pedal 6 E to F and E to Eb.
I've checked out the copednts in the links and many seem to have Pedal 1 A to B.
So far I haven't found much utility for it so any thoughts would be most helpful. |

P1 or rather P4 ?
it's in the basic C6 set up Eldon- some use it, many probably don't ?
lowering string 3 w: RKL that half tone C to B gives you the same B you get on string 4 w: P1/P4
i put A to Bb on P1/P4 on my first psg since i only had 1 knee lever
A to B is a maj7 & more...
A to Bb is a dom7 & more...
once i got a proper psg, i put the A to Bb on RKR
nowadays i use A to Ab on P1/P4 (in conjunktion w: P6 & the G to F on 5 on LKL
A to Ab is a minor & more...
P5 basic setup is : G to F# on 5 - F to F# on 9 - C to D on 10
if you have an xtra lever for G to F on 5 (in conjunktion w: P6 you get an "all Rooty" chord
yep - back to the root...

Jimmy Day's setup listed here has the high G; P5 raises that to a G# along with the other changes CrowBear listed. Both A's are raised to B on the P4.
P4 is a good "motion" pedal 'cause of the full step raise. I think it fell out of favor because of the Maj 6 to Major 7 sound started sounding old-fashioned, and the 1st string being tuned to D being developed.
On the low A, it provides a nice blues vamp with P5 (Key of D in the open position). On the high A, it provides the only unison with the knee knocking C to B. There's lots of use with P5 if you use the high G to G#, rooting on the 2d string (rocking on and off P5 for major/minor triads, starting with E in the open position). |

| Thanks for the posts guys. It's amazing how a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. I of course missed the Maj7th off pedal 1 and I use it regular on the accordion and guitar - just learning this instrument guys, have patience with me. |
