Thanks Derrick, this is good news and good to hear that Bill will be there too. Start practicing, Bill, and I will put you on the schedule. Now, if we can only get you to show up it will be complete.

Rolling Eyes
Bill has been pretty scarce at the Winchester, Joliet and Hawaii Conventions for the past couple years now.
Although we'd all like to see him and Mary and to get a chance to hear some really good steel,--I'm betting he won't be there. Sad

Nor will he and Mary be in Joliet. Crying or Very sad

I've always wanted to attend this, especially since I'm from Indiana. I'll be visiting my hometown of Fairmount for my mom's birthday of July 6th, so I plan on coming by at least on Wednesday to do some informal jamming -- it's about 90 minutes from home. Bill, if you come down, I'd love to see your 7-string fry pan. If I can assure the airline will let me bring mine on the plane with me, I'll bring it along.

Al, if you do come we are planning on jamming at the Randolph Grille Tues., Wed., and Thur. on their covered outdoor patio. There will also be jamming throughout the motel rooms and who knows where else. We love to see new faces and expand our membership. By the way, if your wife is coming with you, there is a special wahine gathering at the Randolph Inn Wednesday afternoon. She may be interested in that.

Thanks, Andy. My lovely wife is opting for a girls'-only trip later in the summer, so she will be staying home with the greyhounds. But...I'm sure that my mom and sister (coming up from Florida) will be with me, though I know they'll want to hear the steel playing! I'll be sure to either fill out my registration prior or bring it with me.

Oh, Lord. Andy, years ago I knew a bunch of Hawaiian (well, the hapa haole tunes) songs and other tunes, but most if not all of my lap playing is "improv" in my home studio. Sitting around and doing some "jamming" is more my speed. Thanks for asking, though. Smile

Winchester, IN is about 100 miles northeast of Indianapolis. Just a short trip from the United Kingdom. Norm Fletcher and his wife from Spain are coming again this year. This will be their third year in a row. Maybe you can team up together and share the ride from the airport. We would love to have you there.

I've known Norman and Aldyth for many years they are ex UK. (Retired to Spain, in a similar exodus as US citizens retire to Florida or Hawaii)

When I asked whereabouts Andy, I was replying to your previous post where you said you could fit me in !

Baz, I have two openings on Fri. 3:30 to 4:00 or 4:00 to 4:30. Two openings on Sat. same times. And of course I would hope you would play for the pre luau show 6:30ish.

Jeremy, probably the best day would be Saturday. You could listen to the day performances and then attend the luau show starting about 6:00pm. But of course, any day is fine since we have some great talent lined up this year. See you there.
