The other night my trio tried out a new tune called "U-Bahn" at a gig. The arrangement and the structure is a work in progress - we only decided on the structure at rehearsal the night before the gig - so feedback/comments would be much appreciated.

EDIT: I have now taken the video off youtube - thanks a lot everyone who listened and offered feedback!

I play my Lap King Rodeo in A minor tuning (and made my fair share of mistakes, so I won't keep the video on youtube forever Wink). Jim Mortimore on bass and Sam Walker on drums.

Cheers,

Fred

Certainly worth keeping & developing, nice groove...
B-section remotely reminiscent of "I´m Not Like
Everybody Else" by one of Britain´s greatest...also,
inspires me to get my tremolo out...McUtsi

Tack för kommentaren! ("Thanks for the comment!" in Swedish. Wink)

Do you mean the Kinks tune? Must have a listen to that when I get home.

Cheers,

Fred

Yeah,those chords,I-V-II have some bitter-sweet
qualities that I really love ; I haven´t heard the
Kinks song in ages, but I recall being captured by
the beauty of that I-V-II-VI progression ; I think
our instrument is especially useful in this type of
groove & harmonic context ; tying thangs up,my very
sincere compliments on You command of the Swedish language.McUtsi

Thats a cool tune Fred, I liked it a lot. Listening to it I found myself wondering how it might sound with a deeper voice like from your Burgin.
