As of late, I've been working on some Alan Jackson songs.
At present, I have 4 tabbed out.
They are:
"Here In The Real World"
"Remember When"
"When Somebody Loves You"

and a song that was a hit for Jim Ed Brown way back when: "Pop A Top".
Any of the above are available for $2 each plus postage.

Travis please check your e-mail.
Thanks,
Erv

Hey Erv, isn't that a copyright violation? The melodies are copyrighted aren't they? Fair use doesn't involve selling.

I'd hate to see the forum get in trouble.

Do you even understand what copyright is? The forum could be closed because of criminal activity. You could stand to lose a lot of money as well.

When someone writes a song these days, their work is protected from copy for their entire lifespan plus 75 years.

As far as I know Alan Jackson isn't dead yet.

Songs written before 1975 are protected for 95 years from the date they were published. That means all Hank Williams compositions are still protected.

What is a song, if it is not a melody?

Fair use allows a song to be interpreted for educational purposes. Sales of material that is copyrighted by someone else is not legal unless you have permission from the owner.

No I won't buy any from you for sure. Smile

I couldn't give a rip about your illegal activities except for the fact that it constitutes a potential threat to the forum. We have seen a lot of web sites closed for copyright infringement.

Dave,
I have a question for you.
If you play out in public, when you play a song, do you send money to the copyright publisher of the song you are playing? Do you have their permission to play that song in public?
When you point your finger at someone else, remember that there are more fingers pointing back at you.

Not an issue for me. Yet even if it was, how does that make what you do legal?

I now understand that the forum has a rule that makes clear that your copyright infringement is solely your responsibility...etc.

So since it is all on you, and you cannot harm my interests with your illegal actions, I will let you be.

You may continue to sell stolen music to those good, unknowing christian souls who will become a party to theft, without any further comment from me.

Is it legal what you do?
By the way, what is it you do?
Are you with the cyber police?
Or do you just like to go around causing trouble?

Well what I don't do is steal things and sell them online.

It just occurred to me...you sell church music too. Selling stolen music to be used in church. That would be funny if it wasn't so wrong.

Have you checked in with your therapist lately.
I really think you have a problem.
Do you do this sort of thing on a daily basis, looking for ways to stir up trouble?

You know, all I did was ask you if you know that what you are doing is illegal. You never answered that. If I am wrong, explain how I am wrong. No, instead you ridicule me.

Looks pretty much like you know you are breaking the law and call anyone who questions that a "trouble maker." You can't bully the truth, Erv.

I really think what you need to do is come to my town and make a citizen's arrest.
There is no reason why I should be walking around free.
I can give you the telephone number of our county sheriff if you'd like it.
