Bo... Those were rollers, My dad thought that they would kill the overtones...
I'm doing some checking on what year this is, I believe it was built here in Dallas in 71 or 72..or even in Ca,, . it was a for runner to the all new Sierra my Dad designed in Or, As you can see , it had fold up legs on it, and the changer is the same as the sierras...

Dennis,
A little history lesson, Sierra never took over Wright, they were both built by My Dad, and were built at the same time ...He laid the Wright name to rest when he moved to Or, and designed the all "new" Sierra in the late 70's..

I don't mean to ramble here, but theres a lot of history with him and Steel Guitar....and with out a lot of recognition from the H.O.F establishments...I wish they would do something for him while he can see the recognition , and not wait till he's in the "Gone Home" section... Confused..He payed his Dues!!!

Heres the Sierra , I was talking about

I'm amazed that Chuck Wright is not already in the SGHOF. Chuck is one of the "founding fathers" of pedal steel. He should be inducted this year!
