Since we're stretching the boundaries a bit, I'll stretch just a little more, into the realm of Sacred Steel.
Sacred Steel history in the Greater Detroit area is as rich as any in the world, with a bounty of incredible musicians, including among others, Bishop Ronnie P. Hall, Calvin Cooke, and Bishop Henry Wayne White.

Nelson Wynn. I beieve he's from South Bend or thereabouts.
Nelson Wynn had or maybe still has a music store in Merrillville Indiana. I was working up there in 2000 and bought a 73 MSA from him. He was also teaching at the time. |
