Hello friends and musicians
I have acquired a very special 1980's Sho~Bud Pro I, and am putting it up for sale. Here is a brief description with some photos to follow.
It's a single neck ten string, has the 3 over 2 changer, has 3 floors and 5 knees. I have also added compensators for the 1st and 7th strings. Three of the knees have drop down flags for comfort. This way you can sit back a little and still have total access to the levers. A pad has been added to the rear 1/2 shelf of the body.
I r&r 'd the changer, cleaned and lubricated it. I also adjusted and lubricated all the pulls and contact points. This guitar really plays nice. Very smooth action all around with just a hint of resistance from the floor pedals.
It has a Jerry Wallace rewound original pickup that sounds amazing. Crystal clear with fat lows and punchy but not over powering mids.
The finish is unique in that the previous owner stripped off the lacquer down to the mellow red wine stain. He then rubbed it with a natural oil finish. Time was taken when this was done and it came out very nice. I haven't seen another one like it. The wood grain is highly visible and there are no chips or dings. I r&r'd the headstock and Grover tuners for polishing and have replaced the fretboard.
Asking price is: $1900
Thank you,
Keeponapicin'

In response to people that have sent me e-mail:
The reason I have priced this guitar at $1900 is:
1) It is in premium condition. 9.55 overall.
2) I have gone through it from one end to to the other, replacing worn and common weak parts.
3) It plays like a new instrument.
4) This is a vintage classic guitar and will only increase in value.
5) Look at the price of other mfg's new S-10 guitars.
6) Lastly but not least, the tone of this guitar is as rich as they come and all Sho~Bud.
BTW the case is in good condition but not premium.
The guitar also comes with a new custom Cadie cover.
The ASKING price may not be not carved in stone, make me an offer! |

Hey C.A.B.
I don't think you're overly priced on your Sho-Bud. I have one like it myself. With all the refurbing and reconditioning I've done on it over the years, I've got a hell of a lot more than $1900 in it. So NOOOOooooo! I don't think you're out of line at all on your asking price.

Danny,
The arm pad was installed before I acquired the guitar. I attempted to remove it but the finish has been compromised. So I thought it best to leave it in place.
But that said, it (the wrist rest), is very comfortable. I am a D-10 player and found this addition to be to my liking. It's just the right height.

Chris,...........
I have sent you pm after pm not only with an offer to buy as you suggested, but asking if there might be a possibility of some sort of trade deal.
NO response to any of them.
Is the guitar still available? Have you decided not to sell? As nice as it is I wouldn't blame you if you decided to keep it. I really would like to have that guitar if we could come to terms. I just might would need a little time in order to sell something to help.
Just curious as to why I have had no response.
If there is a reason you have not responded I would like to know. my email is lazyone3@pventerprises.com
Thanks.
