I love my Blanton , but I don't need it now , I posting this to see if some one will trade for a guitar I think is cool or want to buy it for $1200.00, if no one wants it Im happy to keep it .This is a Blanton D-10 7/4, it's about a 1968, and comes with a 'snap in' Blanton volume pedal. It's a little heavy, but if you're reading this, you already know that.
This guitar has tone to the bone, has splittable original pickups with clear pickup covers so you can see the winding, has the Blanton 'cigarette holder' behind the tuners. It's the emmons pedal setup, has the E Raise LNL and Lower LNR , The tone knobs on the guitar have been bypassed, and the tone pots are no longer with the guitar, I believe they were 500K pots if you wanted to put them back in. The tuning pegs have all been changed to crome grovers . This guitar has been gigged non stop for 40 years, it stays in tune, plays in tune and it's built like a tank, it's a 'steel guitar', as in made with a steel frame. The case has seen better days, but I do have it and it is functional, I would invest in a road case if you are going to gig with this guitar, I have talked to a case company who have made a case for another Blanton just like this one, I can give the info if interested.
I would like a pedal steel in trade , don't be afraid to send me pics of any weird or project guitars,Im a fan of GFI ,Emmons, MSA, ZB,ect.
