Bad News: Weldon not attending the TX Jamboree

I was informed on Friday (but I was on my way out the door and couldn't post it) that Weldon Myrick has some health problems that he feels will make it uncomfortable to attend and perform at this years TSGA Jamboree. He has made the decision to stay home this year.

I don't have any idea what Weldon's problems are, but I'm sure he carefully considered his choice, since he's a member of the Texas Steel Guitar Hall of Fame.

Please spare me questions or emails as I have given y'all all the information I have. I also do not know how this will affect the schedule of the show, but I do know it will still be a wonderful show, nonetheless.

I believe that Weldon's Diabetes is affecting his legs. As a Diabetic,I know how uncomfortable this can be.

That is a great big loss to the show. One of the very best there is.
