Guys, I'm a Knob Guard owner (on my NV112), but not an associate of Jim's. I just want to add a testimonial to the effectiveness of this simple yet incredibly utilitarian product of his.

There is a design flaw in this model of Peavey amp cabinet, a cutout section in the top plank front, that exposes the control panel to easy breakage. The pot shafts are plastic and crack easily. It can happen when the amp is onstage, or being loaded into or out of a car. A D2F cover will not help, though a hard case (such as the type Dan Bentley makes) will protect the amp in transport, which is the main period of danger.

When a knob/pot shaft breaks off a Nashville 112, each pot costs about 12.50 +/-, and shop fees at the music stores around here run $85 an hour. Two pots break off and that's quickly $125 spent.

I sold a 112 for a friend recently and had to discount the amp drastically because two pots had broken off and a third was bent, which means it will break shortly. The amp, which should have sold for $350-375 used, went for $200. A Knob Guard costs $50. How much would you rather spend? You do the math.

Jim's product is a stainless steel bar, nicely polished, that fits into the indent of the cabinet top and protects the control panel from assault from above, the main danger to the knobs. It's simple to install.

Having one will INCREASE the value of your NV112, or should I more correctly say, lessen it's depreciation.

Again, I have no interest in this product other than to inform y'all of its great value, IMHO, in correcting a design flaw of an otherwise wonderful product.

Several years back I had a Session 400 Limited and had 3 pots/knobs and all snapped right in half. I wish I would've had something like this. Looks like a great investment to me!

I have two. One for each amp. Well worth the money. $50 makes it look like a million bucks. Well, maybe not quite a million Very Happy Very Happy Not to mention their intended use for knob protection.

I have had one on my 112 for a couple of years now. It not only protects the knobs and electronics, it adds some "bling" to an otherwise non-descript amp. I love the 112 and I am so glad I got Jim's knob guard.

The first time I took my new NV112 out I bumped it on the door going out. It was in a brand new D2F cover. While it did not do any damage, I ordered KnobGuard immediately. I also travel with my amps in Bentley cases, they fit right over the D2f, like a glove. I have not had any problems at all and most of the time they travel in a trailer.
Knob Guard is a great product.

I have the same rig... 112 w/KnobGuard, D2F cover, Bentley case. Keeps the amp looking as new.

Right now there are 2 NV-112's offered for sale here on the forum and both have knob damage that could have been avoided with a KnobGuard!
