I don't know Tommy personally, but he seems to be a fellow Paris Pro DAW user (along with myself and Mike Smith). He posted this on the Paris User Group, and I thought I'd blow his horn for him here, too. He said:
"I got a call from Bill Kirchen this morning telling me that an instrumental he cut in my studio, "Poultry in Motion", is going to be up for a Grammy. "
Hope it gets one, Tommy... Way to go. |

Wow, thanks John! I am so happy and proud for Bill and Johnny and Jack (the band). The tune is up against some extremely stiff major-label competition (Asleep at the Wheel, Allison Krauss, Brad Paisley, Earl Scruggs) but maybe... you never know.....

I came across an old VCR tape the other evening with Moe Bandy on Austin City Limits. Tommy was playing the gig and sounding great on a Rosewood Zum. I would guess it was from somewhere in the mid to late 1980's. I've since labeled that tape so I can see if I can pick Tommy's brain for some licks!
