From the estate of my late friend Steve England. I'm helping his widow dispose of much of his equipment...

Pre-RP Mullen D-10, 8&5, Jimmy Day copedent, very clean, excellent condition. Guitar is slightly darker in color than my photographs show. The endplates and necks are very shiny,... those are reflections in the photos, not scratches. Original Mullen single coils, case in very good shape as well.

It plays smoo-o-o-oth like a Mullen and has the excellent Mullen sound.

I estimate this guitar was made in the mid-90's. The guitar was owned originally by Skip Pilgrim, then Steve Stallings. I don't believe Mr. England played it much at all... it was very clean when I took it to my house, but I did whatever cleaning and lube I felt was necessary. I put on two new sets of GeorgeL strings.

Steve's widow Ruth is asking $2295 for this guitar, or best offer. Plus shipping from Austin Texas, of course. Check, money or PayPal accepted (+3% if using PayPal).

If another copedent is desired, I can probably perform that setup, given the limitations of the parts at hand. However, that would be a separate deal between the purchaser and myself.

Copedent:
ABC standard Day
LKL s.1 + whole tone, s.6 - whole tone
LKV s.5, s.10 - half tone
LKR s.4, s.8 + half tone
RKL s.4, s.8 - half tone
RKR s.2 - half/whole tone, s.9 - half tone
RKR C6 s.3 - half tone

Contact me by email for more information or for purchasing this nice guitar.

Gary
It looks to me like the guitar was made in the mid-90's.

My memory is not all that it once was (child of the 60's)but... I believe that I bought this from Skip in the spring of 1997. It was my "stay at home setup" steel, though I used it on a few jobs. I talked to Del about it once or twice when I wanted to add a knee. I think he told me it was a 94'. It was a very nice steel, but at the time, I had seven steels.

In my opinion, these mid ninties guitars have the best tone of any guitar of that era. You can't go wrong on this horn. They stay in tune and the highs are brilliant.

Someone is really missing the boat at this price. This should have been snapped up!

If it will help... I promise, I didn't leave any of my licks on it! Laughing

Excellent guitar... fair price, sad situation.

Thank you Dr. Stallings! Smile

Folks, I don't want to be premature but it looks like we have a deal; I'll know in a couple of hours. If that one doesn't happen, there's another in line waiting. But I want to thank everyone here for their interest and their questions.

If anything changes, y'all will be the first to know.

Someone needs to buy this guitar. I thought I was going to be the one but I cannot access the funds right now. I feel bad about having to back out on the purchase. I want to say how sorry I am to Herb here on the forum. Also want to say I'm sorry to Ruth for her loss and my Stupidity about banking.
