It will be around 7:30 EST tonight, on Lake Superior 26 years ago, that all radio contact with the legendary ore carrier,
Edmund Fitzgerald, was lost and fated never
to return.
On this tragic night, the "BIG FITZ" jumped from her captain's logbooks into the history books.

......"The church bell chimed and it rang 29 times for each man on the Edmund Fitzgerald".........

Thanks fellas...you show respect. I love
Gordon, and especially this tale/song....
a real modern day folk tribunal......
......"The Captain wired in he had water comin' in and the good ship and crew was in peril. Later that night when his lights went out of sight came the "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"....

For those interested in the "Lakers", there are some really good books available at Barnes & Noble.

The Gales of November have been unusually calm this year. The Gitch can change her temperment is minutes and get really nasty.
