If anyone happens to be in the Burbank area tonight and/or tomorrow night(11/2 and 11/3),stop by Viva Fresh on the corner of Riverside Dr. and Main St. - right next to the Equestrian center and across the street from the Pickwick Rec Center. I'll be picking my Sierra w/the talented Cody Bryant.
Free to get in and the MexiCal food is reasonably good.....Word is - Red Simpson was seen lurking around there last night. -MJ-

I plan to be in beautiful downtown Burbank over the weekend, We'll try to come by the club and hear you play that Sierra. NR

Cody is an extremely talented musician and entertainer - I would say around 40 years of age who plays lead guitar,fiddle/mandolin,banjo - all brilliantly - and sings in a style reminicent of Marty Robbins.Originally from Whittier,Ca.,he is one of those guys who's been around L.A. as long as I have, but somehow our paths never crossed till recently.I met him when we were both on a swing gig down in Long Beach and I found out he played regularly at Viva Fresh and so I asked him to work me into that scene. He seems to like my playing so I'm down there on a semi-regular basis now. It's one of the few 6 night a week gigs left in the San Fernando valley.
