Does anyone still have the Statler Bros. tape of the High School Dance and Radio Show. This was a classic and I wore my tape out. When my wife would have some new friends over and they found out I played Country Music, I would in all seriousness put this tape on and watch their reactions.
It had to be hard for the Statler's to play out of meter and sing and play off key. However, they pulled it off. |

Y'know, it's actually hard to play that badly on purpose. Most musicians go way over the top when they try to imitate Ol' Wich and the other Cadillac Cowboys. Whoever did those Statler sessions did a real good job of sounding authentically bad. _________________ C#

It was some of the best pickers in Nashville:
Ray Edenton - Acoustic guitar
Bob Moore - Stand up bass
Buddy Spicher - fiddle
Wichita(Lew Dewitt) - electric take-off lead guitar _________________ http://www.oldbluesound.com/about.htm
