Here are a couple of photos of TC's latest combo offerings. He can chime in here with details. One shows the SMS Tonic Tube Preamp mounted up inside. The other shows the brand new SMS Classic Tube Preamp mounted inside it. His amps include his ultra-light, ultra-powerful amplifier modules making these combos the loudest, lightest, tube/ss hybrid steel combos yet. He'll have these to check out in Dallas up in the Jackson room.

Oh boy, what a sweet looking combination!

And with one of Bradīs preamps it sure sounds as great as it looks.
Iīm playing through his TONIC since last summer and would not go back to SS again.

...anybody here in Germany or BeNeLux, who likes to testdrive it, please be welcome to PM me and come to check it out.....

Here are a few details on the newest combo amps. The one pictured first in Brad's post is a single 15" open back that is the size of a Sho-Bud S-15. This one is loaded with a 4 Ohm neo Black Widow. The amplifier module is capable of delivering 500 watts. The covering is custom lacquered dark tweed.

The model in the lower two photos is a SpliTonic Custom 12 CV. It's a bit wider than my CB12 single 12" closed back model and it has a new feature. It's convertible from a ported back to an open back by removing the inset panel. It has the same power amp module as my other models which is 300 watts into 8 ohms and 500 watts into 4 ohms.

These two will be going to the TSGA show in Dallas along with some CB12s. Stop by the Jackson Steel demo room and hear these amps, the Sarno SMS Classic, Tonic Tube Preamp, and Revelation Tube Preamp along with Jackson's new Madison model and the UltraLite. So much cool new innovation going on in the world of steel guitar!

John, I'm not sure, TC will have to chime in, but I think they're right around 40 lbs. maybe low 40's.

The non-combo Furlong CB12, depending on wood density, weighs right in at around 30 pounds. It's incredibly, blessedly light. I would guess that a 15" combo with a loaded preamp might add around 10 pounds.

A friend of mine has these and they sound sweet ! I understand that they are quite expensive though . Yes they get the job done very well . Maybe when my buddie R.J. gets his second barrel full of money he will buy me a set of these Laughing

I'm not sure about the cab/amp/speaker portion. TC will chime in here soon I'm sure. I guess I ought to know this by now.

TC, Thanx for showing me your products at the Jackson room!! They sound incredible!! Brad, your unit is awesome!!

Prices?? Very righteous. A reissue Twin reverb list for over $1300, and doesn't come close in quality or tone. Way to go, fellas!! Cool
