My Sister Edna Provo passed this morning about 6:00 A.M. from a long battle with lung cancer. Edna was the first born of our siblings at age 76.
Edna and her late husband Marvin had a huge influence on my musical journey early in life.
She played both piano and organ from early teens and helped me get started at age 5.
She and Marvin later formed a band named "The Majestics" and man the times we had at those all night jams.
Two of Edna's sons are musicians to this day.
being fifteen years older than me, Edna was a lot like a second Mother to me and her children are like my little brothers and sisters.
I'll miss Edna so much but I know she is with our Lord Jesus now. Rest in peace dear Sister.
Here is Edna's obituary

Fred,
I had not seen your sister Edna in years and only recently learned of her illness and failing health. I met her and Marvin years ago while playing in a band with their son, Rick. I can truthfully say that she was a fine lady.
My sincere sympathies to the Provo and Justice families.

Fred, my condolences to you and your family. I have lost two sisters (both in their 40's), so I have an idea of what you're experiencing.

Love to you and your dear family, my friend,
