I purchased this bass new from Wayne Stowers at the Music Mart in Atlanta when I was in high school.
I have recently bought a couple of other basses and no longer need this one. It is in excellent condition other than a few weather cracks.
Based on web research it appears to be worth about $2,800.00.
I can send pictures via E-mail or post them here. _________________ Bill Cunningham

The J Bass is natural (ash I think?), white pick guard, maple neck, and pearl blocks in the postion markers.
I'll take a pic tomorrow. _________________ Bill Cunningham

Chris,
the red mark is a baby chicken rising out of an egg. It is fabric with an adhesive backing. It was a trade show booth give away item from the 1974 International Poultry Convention in Atlanta. I thought it was cool at the time and just never removed it.
Thanks for asking. I am sure the offers will come flooding in now that we have described this invaluable after market accessory.
