It's a long shot! Anyone got a replacement tape cartridge, even a bad one? Dunlop was making them. All my suppliers are out until Fulltone start releasing them in August. Fulltone has the name and is reproducing the Echoplex again.
Mine is the transistor model EP-3. Also looking for the cover that goes over the tape and heads area (say Echoplex onit).

Hey Ken--I just consulted with my Echoplex playing friend and he provided these links (as worthwhile to check out--he doesn't know if they will come thru...)
http://www.madbbs.com/~fmcniff/
http://www.musictechbrasil.com/pedais/echoplex/pecas_p.htm

(Brazil?!--don't ask!)

and his final link was to Fulltone but you're already on that.
You probably have heard of some guy or place that apparently became a black hole that busted echoplexes disappeared into--I forget the name but I've read horror stories on the Weber board. Beware of sending anything there!

Thanks, John. This was was given to me as a gift! I cleaned it all up, cleaned the heads, demagnetized, replaced all the electrolytics (12 or more) and I just need a tape to fire it up! I was getting them for $14.00 from Mojotone. That has all dried up until Fulltone releases them again.

Well, the guy to get in touch with is Mike Battles. I got parts, motor, from him a few years ago, but I don't know how to contact him anymore. Maybe some one here knows how to contact him. He is, of course, the co-inventor with Don Dixon.

Any info appreciated! It will be fun to get this one up and running. I got the copy of the service manual. With my signal generator and scope I can set it up properly. So far so good! The new caps helps, it is not nearly as noisy as before (just going in and out with the guitar to an amp).

I talked to Dewitt. They are out, too. He was unaware that Dunlop was not making them. I told him about Fulltone making them now. Looks like they have all dried up till August
