Tom,
It's tough to get a good look from the video, but it looks like it may be a Fred Kelly speed pick. I wasn't aware that they had them in red, though. If it is a Fred Kelly, check Elderly Instruments website. |

Tom, I use the red ones myself along with the blue Hercos. I get mine from Billy Cooper Music in Orange, Virginia.........JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

Tom,
What's the difference between the red ones and the blue ones? I've used the blue ones for decades. I know Scotty's used to stock them. Just curious how the red ones differ. The blue Hercos are nylon and not quite stiff enough for some folks but I really like them.
I believe Dunlop makes a red one similar -- is this it?
It's not nylon; it's delrin
If that's it, Elderly Instruments in Lansing, MI sells them -- and the blue Hercos as well

I am looking for something that is narrow like the pictures of the red and blue dunlops, or hercos. Trying to get a longer TINE on them. I had a bag of picks from the 60's, and my last one with a longer tine broke. Those 2 look like they have the longer tine, but do they? Help. ( I also use them for my 5-string.) _________________ Sho-Bud LDG, Martin D28, Gibson Mastertone archtop 5-string banjo, Ibanez 4-string bass, cheap dobro, and a fiddle. Member of AFM local 492 |

Ronnie, I hope that's a five string steel you're talking about and not the dreaded "B" word....JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |
