I was there. It was an intense learning experience, which I enjoyed greatly.

Basically it was four classes a day, with the greatest players in the business, and a concert each night at the Station Inn.

There was also a field trip to a pro studio, where recording techniques for Reso were explained in detail.

Rob Ickes is such a masterful player, and the one on one time with him alone was worth it for me.

Of course Auldridge, Kohrs, Hall, (our) Gingrich, Heffernan, Graves, Witcher, and more were also there teaching.

If you are interested in setup and instrument design, Scheerhorn and Beard were there and equally accessable.

What more can I say? There's a lot of pictures at

Joey, glad you could make the trip. Thanks for the info and the link. It sounds like a fantastic event!

I think you were referring to forumite Dave Giegerich, shown in the Summit photo gallery performing with Randy Kohrs. Good to see Dave getting the recognition-- he definitely belongs in the company of these high-profile super players!

Thanks Joey,

I really wanted to attend Reso-Summit 2008 but fate had other plans for me and my money at the time...it sounds like a dream come true and I'm sure by what you have written that it was.... I could have met you at the same time and that would have been great as well...I am saving for the next one and have registered as well... Thanks again for answering and I'm glad that you were there and enjoyed it .... I am a great fan of Rob Ickes as well and yes he is a master player and one of my "Hero's" Did you fly down or drive? and what kind of a ball park figure($) are we looking at( for a good time)Very Happy
