Minuets from disaster at The Millennium during the International Steel Guitar Convention.
Bo and I enjoyed the Convention, but we’re really just glad to still be alive.

Were you really stuck on the escalator? Last year me an my room-mate were moving our stuff from the parking garage using the escalator that goes to the lower level (rather that cut across the street to the Millenium). Well we had two coolers on a hand dolly, and the dolly went down the escalator in front of us. But then the dolly got stuck on the landing, but we kept moving and fell onto the stuck dolly, and the people behind us starting to fall on us as the escalator kept moving! I thought I was gonna die! But somehow the escalator shut off automatically before the pile of people and luggage got too deep. Needless to say, we did not try to travel down the escalator that way this year, but took several trips. |
