After reading a few requests from members requesting places to hear some steel I realized the Forum is a perfect place to provide that information.
Towards that end I figured I'd start this post in "Events and Announcements" and see if it catches on.
If you have a gig somewhere, and it's
open to the general public, why not post it here? There's probably a good chance there is someone in your area who would love to stop by and check things out.
Remember this is for everyone not just the
Pros. We need the $50 a night weekend warriors (like myself) to make this work.
The following format should be used:
Name
City Band Name
type of establishment
name of establishment
rating ex: bring the kids or 21 and over
band name
date
start time.

Lori/b0b,

I think Bob G has got something good started here. Lori, please read your e-mail and talk to b0b about my ideas. I think there is a simple thing that can be done to make "Post-a-Gig" a permanent feature within "Events and Announcements". It would benefit all and make your job of editing for gigs that have been completed easier. Talk to you soon.
