When I sent my wife these photo's of this 1979 Emmons S10 PP that I had found after looking for one of those "been-in-the-case-under-the-bed-for-years" guitars for a couple of years now, she replied with a one word E-mail!
SWEET!
So that's what I named her "Sweetness"!!!!
This is my "new" guitar that I played for the afternoon session at Perl-Jam yesterday that was so nicely mention in a post about the LA Jam.
She has "that" sound for sure and plays like a dream!
Enjoy the photo's!

Jim,
She's (Sweetness) a beaut! I need to get on that new Push-Pull wrench for sure now! How many of us have dreamed of the "new steel under the bed" find...congrats! Carl

Hey Jim...I just got through looking under every bed in our house and even went over to my Mom's house and checked under her beds...but man there was no fancy Emmons PP to be found...you must have been real lucky to have looked under the right one...I guess I'd be better off going over to your place... That's one beautiful Emmons, Jim. What setup do you use? Emmons or Day?

Brett,
I play "Emmons" set up on all my guitars.
Here's another photo showing the back side.

Thanks Jim. That is one Clean steel guitar! I really like the look of an Emmons S-10 p/p.

I have the same guitar (and I love it), but the rosewood mica is flat, not glossy....I like the glossy look much better...is there a way to shine it up (I was thinking something like urethane)or should I just leave it alone?

I read here on the Forum that hot linseed oil will bring out the luster in the mica.

Jeremy:
Your guitar may be the Satin Rosewood Finish. If so I would not advise trying to make it glossy. I am not sure what years this finish was available. Maybe someone could chime in with that info...

The serial number is 1231 S, if that's helpful...it is a "fatback".
