Just released, this CD features 12 steel guitar versions of some of the greatest songs ever recorded by Waylon Jennings. As is my custom to do, most of the feels and flavors of the original tracks have been retained. I played Zum, Emmons, and Fender on this CD. Moon alternates with me on five of the songs on his GFI, and on others I play a lot of the classic Mooney style on a Fender 400. On a couple of the tunes, Ralph would play a phrase and I would answer him on the 400 with a phrase somewhat like he would have played back in the 60’s and 70's, but remember...there's only ONE Mister Moon. You'll get the picture by clicking the sound samples.

Live studio musicians throughout with a few appropriate touches like phased Telecaster, twanging acoustic and sometimes a high string rhythm, bass played with a pick, punchy kick drum....you know the Waylon deal!

The songs are:

1. Rainy Day Woman(with Ralph Mooney)
2. Cloudy Days
3. I’ll Go Back To Her (with Ralph Mooney)
4. Lonesome, Orn'ry & Mean
5. It’ll Be Her
6. Sweet Dream Woman (with Ralph Mooney)
7. Dreaming My Dreams
8. You Asked Me To (with Ralph Mooney)
9. Good Hearted Woman
10. Storms Never Last (with Ralph Mooney)
11. Amanda
12. Only Daddy That’ll Walk The Line

Here are five sound samples, and there are more on my site.

**Rainy Day Woman (First Moon, Then me on Zum, then me on Fender)

**I’ll Go Back To Her (Me on Emmons, then Moon)

**Lonesome, Orn’ry & Mean (Me on Zum & Fender)

**You Asked Me To (Moon & me trading phrases, then me on Zum)

**Good Hearted Woman (Me on Zum & Fender)

Thanks Buck & Howard.

As a note of interest, the "W" emblem on the cover is a picture of a belt buckle Moon made from plywood. Pretty sharp huh? Looks better as a CD cover than it does with my belly lapped over it.

Thanks, Lana. See you there.

Thanks, Tony. Good to hear we have the same taste!

Putting me on the St. Louis stage would be like penciling Donald Duck onto the original Mona Lisa. Very Happy
