Does anyone know Bill?
20 yrs. ago I went to
a great jam at his house
south of kansas city.
I met jimmy day and jeff newman.
I even had one of bills ol zums
at one time.I remember if you would
play bass for the endless shuffles,
you got to sit in this cool old barber chair.
I would love to hear news about bill.
He was nice to me as a kid starting out.
thanks guys!

Hi Buster, I knew Bill Jobes. I spent a week with him at Jeff Newman's teachers course in Nashville in June 1977. He was a real fine player and played a PP Emmons D10. I had a red Sho-Bud D10 Professional. I was the oldest guy there. I just enjoyed the whole week and glad I went. Hal Rugg was the guest Artist Thursday and everyone went backstage at the Grand old Opry, and then went to Bradleys' Barn and we all recorded with Jeff' tracks and Bob Browning on the Vocals. I had a cold so didnt bring my Sho-bud and one of the guys let me use his D10 PP Emmons to record with, on E9th. I got a picture of him with his Emmons, if I can find it I'll put it on the forum...al.SmileSmile
I had a sharp picture of Bill, but it didn't come out very good. What HAPPENED?
