Your sunburst guitar is very pretty, looks like nice work, guitar-shaped classic stying is hard to beat, IMO.

Thanks Bill and Ron!
Alright you asked for it here are some dobro pics. But first an amusing anecdote about my addiction to square neck and lap steel. My mother was visiting one day and saw me playing and recalled resigningly "well jas, if there was a way to either fall asleep or at least sit down on the job, you'd be the one to find it"

Ain't it a fact!

I got a question for everybody, Is Jason Lollar the only one making horse shoe pick ups? He the only one I have found. I don't mind paying the price, I was just wondering if it's the only game in town. I need to get some. I'm working on a hollow Bel Aire in Brass (to be chromed of course) Like a Silver Hawiian
and thats the only pick up I can envision in it.

Man, them "Belaire" colors and fins sure do bring back some memories!

Besides this fine looking Steel, I think a Spanish & Slide version with a spanish neck and access up to the last frets, would sell very well. Darn sure got the marketing appeal!

There may be other makers, I'm not sure, but I doubt you'll find anyone who's more dedicated to making the best pickups imaginable than Jason and 'our own' Rick Aiello (Rick provides Jason with the magnets for the horseshoes).

Hi Jason; Great fit & finish on your guitars!I'm impressed I'll second Steinar & send you to Rick Aiello. I think he still has sound samples on his website. I think 1 of your fine lookin' guitars deserves an Aiello/Lollar horseshoe or maybe an MRI on it! you'll have the look & the sound!! Anyways...check out Rick's site, it's a good one. Soundhound

Thanks for the info Jan and Steinar,
It's settled I'm going to contact Rick and get a few of them. Steinar I love your song "God only Knows" on your site.
Thank you one and all on the forum for your kind support. I hope I can be a valuable member also. I have read in a few topics about a convention. Is one coming up?
