Hi, Daniel . Have you seen the Carvin amp ,i think it's called XP-100 . This is a killer amp with the processor already built into it . And it only weighs 30 pounds !!! Yes i said 30 Pounds !!! This amp sells for $ 349.00 plus shipping . I'm thinking about selling one of my Nashvilles and getting one . They are solid state with a tube simulator built into it and it is sweet . Go to www. carvin amps , and look at it . It is a full 100 watts of power . It has a 12'' speaker in it . Man i would love to have one of these . G.P. |

Gary. Just a note of caution here. Before you run out and get one of these Carvin amps or sell your Peavey, keep in mind that the Carvin amps E.Q. section is voiced for "guitar" not steel guitar, as is the speaker. Anyway, something to keep in mind when you're thinking about other brands or types of amplifiers to use for playing steel guitar through. |

I really like my Nash 112, I hardly play through anything else anymore. It sounds really good with a guitar too, at least for a jazz sound that I like. As with the other Nashville and Session series amps, it sounds good with an electric fiddle too. Now if I could just learn to play this cotten picken' fiddle.
