This is me with Albert Talley, who was gracious enough to seek me out and welcome me even though he had about 10,000 other things to deal with. He's a great guy and a topnotch steel player too. I especially enjoyed his playing at the Dance Party with Leon Rausch and the boys. We all owe this gentleman a great deal of thanks for his tireless dedication.

Here's Bobbe Seymour performing his show in the main ballroom. Bobbe put on a wonderful performance - he sure has a way with the crowd. His car crash and sirens inspired me to be extra careful on the 1500 mile drive back to S. Florida!

The Legendary Herb Remington doing his set in the main ballroom.
Herb did a great set - and he didn't even play Boot Heel Drag or Remington Ride!

I guess I don't have to tell you who this is.
Joe Wright just blew me away. Faster than greased lightening, perfect intonation without hardly even looking at his guitar, funnier than Conan O'Brien, and he's also a fine vocalist. I think if you look up the word versatile in the dictionary there should be a picture of Joe.
Maybe this picture . . Wink

This guy was pretty amazing - on a scale of 1 to 10 he's about 1,000,000 or so . .

Here's Joey Ace and me just hanging out in the non-pedal session . .

The Lovely Miss Lana - she's just as nice as she is pretty!

Here's the sales staff at the Remington Steel Guitars booth.
L2R - Jim Williams, Herb Remington and Yours Truly

This is my old friend Neil Flanz and myself. He and I worked together quite a bit during his 18 year sojourn in S. Florida. He's one of the best, and it was good to see him looking so healthy and happy.

Guitar picker extrordinaire Leon Chambers and me watching fellers load up their vehicles on Sunday afternoon.

Peavey's own Mike Brown - where would we be without him?

Here's me and the Bobbster - finally got to meet him in person . .

I got more, but I'm getting sleepy again. It's been a few years since I drove 3,000 miles all in one week.
all in all, it was a great experience - and I'm now a member of the TSGA. I feel I'm entitled even though I live in S. Florida - my paternal grandmother was from El Paso. She was born there in 1880, and her maiden name was Lucille Catlin. That makes me 1/4 Texan!

Rick; I think Doc was waiting at home for the postman to deliver my little Home~Video to him! [Or maybe not!] I wish I could travel to some of the steel shows around the country, but; it hasn't happened yet!

Bobby Bowman and Yours Truly. I just met Bobby but he seems like an old friend.

Here's Sonny Dasinger thinking deep thoughts. Sonny is a very cool guy and he helped me a lot while I was in Dallas.
I don't know how I would have managed without him.
