LOL.. the color blind guy
gets the one with the special rare color LOL.
A lovely irony or symitry there.

The mandolin is a custom solid body 6,
same scale as my A-jr Gibson. It is single string not doubled, and sounds more guitarish, yet has completely different harmonic possibilities to a soporano guitar type.

This was it's first recording. It is right after the Tubescreamer slide solo.

Rick thanks for the good word too.
I used an OLD DeArmond brown volume pedal, and it does nice ,but odd, things to tone with the Champ.
I like the retro combination.

Howard also when you can, look up THREADZILLA.
Denny's C6 modal theory site and it's discussion page.
It is linked to the Feedback FAQ oage and searched in no pedlars too.

This will REALLY kick your SUpro into high gear pcinin wise.

Well, my wife says it dark gray or silver, not green. But, I still dig the guitar and I’ve ordered new tuner heads for it.

David, thanks for the tip on the C6 modal info. I will check it out for certain. I’m intrigued by the 6 mandolin. I have a 5 string that I had made that sounds pretty cool. You can hear a sample from my CD at http://www.howardkalishmusic.com/music.htm. Click on If You're Cheatin' On Your Baby. Having that 5th string opens up vast new possibilities. I can only imagine what 6 would do.

Howard, that was pretty cool,
you definitly play it like a fiddler too.

Mine has a Blues Jr. pick up and a strat switch.
6 strings is a bit like playing on the Serenghetti plains, but I am getting used to it.
